Amor Deliria Nervosa

Delirium by Lauren Oliver. It's her sophomore book and I was floored by how great it was. It's been a while since I've read a book like this.

Description: Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love -- the deliria -- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the governments demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.

Pages (HARDCOVER): 441
Review:
In a word, this book was amazing. Unbelievable. A work of art. This author, this Lauren Oliver, is gifted. Writing is her calling and it shines through this book. This one book, this Delirium was simply breathtaking. It is a beacon in the darkness and stands out from other books like it.

I'm not great at summaries, but you HAVE to read this book. Leave your thoughts in the comments. ;)
